Google AI Overview services

You still rank. You just stopped getting the click.

Google now answers your customer at the top of the page and cites three brands while doing it. We get you into that citation list — and we show you the traffic you're losing before you spend a dollar with us.

Delivered in 5 working days · No retainer required to receive it

The number that starts the conversation

What being left out of the Overview costs you every month

Two numbers you already know. We'll do the rest — then show you the real figure for your exact queries in the gap report.

Modelled on a 34% AI Overview presence rate across commercial queries and the click loss we measure on our own clients' page-one terms. The annual figure counts lost ENQUIRIES, not lost sessions.

  1. 01

    Overview gap report

Every commercial query in your category run against live Overviews — where one appears, who gets cited, and where you sit today.

    Your baseline, in writing

  2. 02

    Page-one repair

Overviews are built from what already ranks. We fix the terms where you're on page two and can't be pulled in at all.

    Eligibility first

  3. 03

    Answer-first rewrites

We restructure the pages that matter so the answer sits in the first 40 words, in the format Google lifts.

    Published and tracked

  4. 04

    Schema and entity work

Organization, Service, FAQ and Product markup aligned to your Business Profile and knowledge panel so Google is sure who you are.

    Validated on publish

  5. 05

    Third-party citations

Placement in the directories, trade press and review platforms Google leans on when it decides which brands are safe to name.

    Earned, never bought

  6. 06

    Monthly citation tracking

Your query set re-run every month: coverage, citation share, and which competitor took the slot you want.

Three clients, six months, one metric that mattered

  • B2B SaaS

    Lumen

Ranking first for their category term and losing a third of clicks to the Overview. We rebuilt eight comparison pages answer-first and fixed their entity record across four directories.

  • Property

    Atlas+Co

Absent from every Overview in their metro while a portal aggregator took all three citation slots. Local schema, review volume and a data-led guide hub changed that.

  • Healthcare

    Verdant

Regulated category, conservative answers. We built author credentials, medical review sign-off and structured FAQs until Google was willing to name them.

We were still ranking second for our main term and our traffic was down a third. Digital Otters found the reason in a week and got us cited in the Overview by month three. Leads came back.

    Why us

Four reasons clients move their retainer to us

    1. 01

      You see the number first

The gap report lands before any contract. If the opportunity isn't there, you keep the report and we part on good terms.

    2. 02

      In-house, not brokered

Content, technical SEO, digital PR and dev sit in one team. Nothing is subcontracted and nothing waits on a third party.

    3. 03

      No lock-in

Ninety days to prove it, then month-to-month. Agencies that need a twelve-month contract are protecting themselves, not you.

    4. 04

      Reported in leads

Citation share is our metric; enquiries and pipeline are yours. Both are on the same monthly page.

    The questions that decide it

Still not sure? Ask us directly
Can you guarantee we'll be in the AI Overview?

No — and be careful with anyone who does. Google's Overviews are generated, non-deterministic and change without notice. What we guarantee is the work that demonstrably moves the odds: page-one eligibility, answer-first structure, clean entity signals and third-party corroboration.

How is this different from the SEO we already pay for?

SEO gets you onto page one, which is the entry ticket. Overview citation is decided separately — on how answerable your page is in its first 40 words, how confident Google is about who you are as an entity, and who else vouches for you. We do the second part, and fix the first where it blocks us.

We already rank first. Why would we need this?

Ranking first is exactly the position that loses most when an Overview appears — the click that used to be yours now goes to the answer box. Being cited inside it is how you keep the visit.

How fast do we see something?

The gap report is five working days. Eligibility work lands in the first month, answer content in the second, and the first citation movement is usually visible by day 45. Nothing here is instant and anyone promising otherwise is guessing.

What do you need from us?

Access to your site and analytics, a decision-maker for sign-off on published copy, and in regulated categories a reviewer. That is the whole list.

What if our category isn't showing Overviews yet?

Then we tell you, you keep the report, and we point you at SEO or paid search instead. It is a bad use of your budget to optimise for an answer box that is not appearing.
